The Muslim Mind Collaborative held a free INSET session in August for school leaders to launch our Muslim Mental Health in Schools Toolkit. Our resource gave schools the tools to aid the mental well- being of all students in a universal, evidence-informed way. As well as providing resources to support faith literacy and cultural competence to help lighten the mental load of stigmatisation for Muslim students. With so little information, and so few resources, that look at faith as a category of difference, our toolkit provides value, and makes a meaningful difference to the 1 in 12 students of Muslim-heritage in British Schools.

Aimed primarily at non-Muslim leaders and schools, this session provided an invaluable insight into British Muslim life.

What motivates Muslim students?

How can schools leverage what they know about Muslim culture to get the best out of their students?

What challenges do young Muslims face today that schools need to be aware of?
